The same dose, without the can

Celsius’ On-The-Go sticks are a powdered version of Celsius Original, meant to be mixed into a water bottle rather than poured from a can. Each packet carries 200 mg of caffeine, identical to the standard 12 oz can and the Vibe line, by Celsius’s own figures.

Easy to double without noticing

Because the powder isn’t tied to a fixed can size, it’s simple to mix a packet into a small bottle for a strong dose, or to lose track and add a second packet to a large jug over the course of a day, effectively doubling the caffeine to 400 mg without the visual cue of two empty cans. The dose is identical either way; only the concentration in the water changes.

The powder format also travels differently from a can: it survives in a gym bag or desk drawer without refrigeration, which is part of its appeal, but it also means the dose isn’t visible the way an empty can is, making it easier to lose track of how many packets have gone into a bottle over a day.

Where it fits in a day

At 200 mg, a single packet is right at the 200 mg single dose EFSA assessed as not raising safety concerns for healthy adults, and it’s half the 400 mg daily figure the FDA cites on its own. Celsius recommends no more than one can, or by extension one packet, of its standard line a day. In pregnancy, where ACOG uses a 200 mg daily ceiling, one packet uses the entire day’s allowance; the FDA also notes that medical experts advise against energy drinks for children and teens.
